Will a user be notified when they are added to a course?

Although an automatic 'welcome' email won't be sent when a user is added to an Expected Visitor List assigned to a Course, they can still be notified.

  • When they next log into a document, a toast notification will display in the bottom right letting them know that they have a badge to complete.
  • You may also wish to send them an email welcoming them to the course, along with a link to the course landing page.
  • (Enterprise service charge only) - If you have notifications enabled, an email will be sent the next time your scheduled notifications run (e.g. daily at 8am).

This email is not a dedicated welcome email informing users they’ve been added to a course - instead, it will inform them that they have badges to earn.
