Locking Documents
Support your training objectives by locking documents, allowing viewers to only see them once they have been awarded the appropriate badge in a previous document.
This feature helps users learn at the right moment in their journey, ensuring they get the information they need exactly when they’re ready for it.
Locking a document requires at least two documents -
- Document 1 - must contain an assessment that awards a badge to the user.
- Document 2 - must use a 'Badge' security rule, which locks the document unless the user has been awarded the required badge in Document 1.
Example Scenario
Simon is completing Health and Safety training for his role at ABC Invest.
There are three parts to the training course: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
Before he can access and unlock the Level 2 training, he must successfully pass the assessment in the Level 1 training, which awards him a badge.
And before he can access and unlock the Level 3 training, he must have successfully passed the assessment in both the Level 1 and Level 2 training.
Without the badges, he can't unlock the next document – it's that simple!
