Undeleting a document version

To support your workflow and minimise disruption, we’ve introduced a simple and efficient way to restore deleted document versions!

With a single click, you can recover previous versions of your document - this new feature is designed to provide peace of mind, allowing you to work with greater confidence and flexibility.

Any document versions deleted within the last 30 days will display under a new tab on your admin homepage called 'Recently Deleted'.

  • Log into your PageTiger account.
  • Select the 'Recently Deleted' tab.
  • Once selected, a table of deleted document versions will display.

Here's what's included:

    • Front cover - a thumbnail of the first page of the version.
    • Version Name - the name of the version, for example '1' or '2024'.
    • Document Name - the name of the document that the version was created in.
    • Deleted On - the date that the version was deleted.
    • Permanent Deletion In - the number of days left until the version is permanently deleted.

  • Find the document version that you would like to restore.

  • Click the 'Restore' option to recover it.

And that's it! Your document version will be undeleted and available in your account.

You have up to 30 days to restore a deleted document version and can restore those that you have deleted.

However, if you are the Account Owner, you can restore all deleted document versions within the 30-day timeframe.

This policy ensures both data security and user control while offering flexibility in managing document recovery.

  • Deleted document versions will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
  • Full Access users can restore document versions that they have deleted.
  • Account Owners can restore all document versions that have been deleted.
  • Once a document version has been restored, it will be unpublished.
  • If a new document version has since been created with the same URL, the restored version will be assigned a unique URL to avoid conflict.
