Accessibility - Getting Started
Well designed, accessible documents help to ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can easily understand, navigate, and interact with your content.
By ensuring your documents are compatible with assistive technologies, such as screen readers, you help to promote an inclusive environment where everyone can participate.
Accessible documents improve usability for all users, resulting in a more positive experience for everyone.
The accessibility interface for Layout Library and Fully Editable documents is turned off by default. However, it's quick and easy to turn on!
- Simply navigate to a document.
- Select 'Manage Version' for a version within your document, followed by 'Version Settings'.
- Next, choose the 'Modern' option in the Accessibility Interface section.
Once activated, you will gain access to the Accessibility tab in Designer, allowing you to enhance your document's accessibility for all users.
Read more about Accessibility Settings.
Documents created by uploading a PDF or PowerPoint file do not support Modern Accessibility. Please view our Legacy Accessibility guide for more information.
